The scientific programme of ECTAS 2011 will be organized on three days, from wednesday 18th May to Friday 20th May. The sessions will be organized in two halls, Hall A and Hall B. One hall will be devoted to the Conference sessions and the other will be devoted to workshops and CME courses. In addition, an exhibition hall will be available with the latest technology relevant to cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia. Two courses will be held during the Conference proceedings, which are the “Perfusion CME Course”, and the “TEE Course”. Both courses require separate registration (please refer to the registration page)

An ultrasonography workshop will be held on Wednesday afternoon. This workshop will highlight the basics of ultrasound-guided neuroaxial blocks with special demonstrations and hands-on stations and live models. The “Ultrasonography Workshop” is a paid event that requires pre-registration.

Another workshop is the “Airway Workshop”, which will be held on Friday 20th May, with the latest updates on airway management relevant to all personnel involved in the practice of anesthesia and intensive care. The “Airway Workshop” is free for all to attend. Due to limited number of places it is advisable to book your places in advance. On Friday 20th May, the annual TEE Exam will be held in the afternoon. The exam is divided into two parts; a theoretical part with MCQs, and an echo-reporting part with still images and video clips.

Due to last minute changes and unforeseen circumstances, the final programme might be subject to minor changes that are beyond our control. ECTAS Scientific Committee will do its best to stick to the announced schedule.
