Dear valued industry partner,
On behalf of the Egyptian Cardiothoracic
Anesthesia Society (ECTAS), it is my pleasure to
announce the 8th Annual Conference on
Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, to be
held in the great city of Cairo, from 9 - 11
February 2012.
The Annual ECTAS Conference is the only
conference in the region, which primarily
focuses on the perioperative care of patients
undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular
procedures. Therefore, it comprises topics such
as preoperative care and assessment, anesthesia,
monitoring techniques, perfusion technology,
transesophageal echocardiography TEE, ultrasound
techniques, as well as postoperative cardiac
ICU.
Although initially ECTAS was mainly focusing on
the attention of cardiac anesthesiologists, yet
over the past years, the annual ECTAS Conference
has increasingly gained the attention of other
specialists and consultants involved in the
perioperative care of patients undergoing
cardiothoracic and vascular procedures. Thus,
besides anesthesiologists, expected to attend
and participate are intensivists, perfusionists,
cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, pain
physicians, as well as nurses. To emphasize the
importance of all sorts of subspecialties, ECTAS
is organizing different conference sessions and
workshops including the annual TEE Course and
Exam, the Annual Perfusion CME Course, a new ICU
CME course, as well as several hands-on
workshops.
ECTAS 2012 will be held at the National Training
Institute - Ministry of Health (NTI), located in
the center of Cairo, just beside the Cairo
International Fairgrounds - Nasr City. The NTI
is a specialized training center, comprising
several halls, an exhibition area, and is
specially equipped with the latest in
audio-visual equipment. Its location is within
easy reach from the Conference Hotels, Cairo
International Airport, as well as the Cairo
Railway Station.
ECTAS 2012 is offering several options for
industrial and pharmaceutical companies to
exhibit and market their products including,
exhibition stands, industrial symposiums, as
well as printed material such as brochures,
advertisements on the Conference book and the
EJCTA journal, as well as logos on the
Conference kit. There’s an option that suits
everyone.
ECTAS 2012 is a great opportunity to meet the
experts in the field, raise topics of
discussion, exchange ideas, exhibit, and market
products.
So mark your calendars and don’t miss ECTAS
2012. Your participation will be much
appreciated.

Prof. Fawzia Aboul-Fetouh
