Egypt closes school after Mexican flu outbreak |
In Egypt, a school has been closed for the first time because of the Mexican flu. The Christian Mother of God College in Cairo will remain closed for two weeks following the discovery there of three cases of the flu.
 Egypt has already taken preventive measures to protect schools against an outbreak of the A(H1N1) virus, also known as swine flu. It set the opening of the school year back a few weeks, to 3 October.
The number of Mexican flu cases in Egypt currently stands at 1053. Three people in the country have died of the virus.
